We provide safe and specialized play area for all autistic and other neurodivergent individuals and their families, while helping facilitate community education and acceptance.

SPACE Autastic, Inc is located in the historic post office building in downtown Janesville, Wisconsin, at 21 South Jackson Street, Suite 150. Our private entrance is located on Dodge Street or use our ADA accessible entrance through the main building door on Jackson Street.

Our new SPACE Pod is located in the same building but needs to be entered using the main building entrance. Follow the SPACE Pod signs down the hallway immediately to the right of the entrance.

Current Play Sessions!!

Play Sessions are based on volunteer availability, and may be subject to unexpected change or cancellation.
We will do our best to find another volunteer to cover the session prior to cancellation.
Currently we do not offer refunds, but will help reschedule play sessions.
All families must register their SPACE cadet(s) prior to their first visit.
We keep the capacity of each play session low.
This allows ample room for all of our cadets and their families to explore SPACE.

SPACE Autastic now offers play sessions throughout the month that will be open for all community members!

These 'Public Play' sessions will be labeled as such and will offer an opportunity for any family to come check out SPACE!

All rules and sign-up requirements remain in place, so please register your Cadet prior to scheduling your play session to ensure all proper waivers are completed.

SUPPORT FOR EVERY CADET

We are an 'ageless' facility. We try to have enjoyable activities for all ages of neurodivergent individuals,
including swings with a weight capacity of up to 350 lbs, and slides up to 250 lbs.
Entrance fee is per dependent. Adult caregivers and infants under 12 months are free.
We DO NOT offer supervision, so an adult caregiver must attend to their dependent(s).

We area a 'Sock-Only' facility, so all attendees must place shoes at the door and wear only socks.
We prefer the grippy-style socks and will have a few pair of adult and child sizes available.

Large Play Area

Our large play area has high weight capacity swings, hammocks chairs, activity wall panels, crash pads, starry tunnel, and a large playset with slides. Many multi-sensory options to explore and enjoy!

Calming Room

We have a smaller quiet room for individuals needing a more private sensory experience. The room contains a swing, crash pad, small table and chairs, parent chair, and quiet sensory activities.

Junior Cadets

This room has equipment and sensory items more geared and sized for our junior SPACE cadets under age 5.

Activity Room

The room has tables and chairs to explore our shelves full of sensory bins, board games, puzzles, and other tabletop toys. The activity room is also where registered parties can enjoy their cake and presents!

SPACE Respite!

Our Weekend Respite is such a hit, we are adding more respite programming!

Contact your CLTS case manager to see which program might be the best fit for your plan and begin the referral process!
